 FAQ

Q. Can I buy my roll cage direct from Safety Devices?

We no longer sell to the general public. Instead you can buy from one of our dealers who you can find on this website through the roll cage finder.  Dealers often hold stock of our cages. If you are having difficulties finding a dealer or installer call us and let us know.

Q. Is there a retail price for roll cages?

There is no retail price as such although dealers have guide prices.  You should ask the dealer for a price.

Q. Can I install my own roll cage?

Yes you can and we do provide full instructions but fitting a cage is a complicated business and you should be sure you are competent to undertake the task.

Q. I have a roll cage in my car - how can I be sure it is a Safety Devices roll cage?

Look for the unique serial number on the footplate and send it to us for verification, together with photos of the roll cage. If the roll cage has been painted over the years, you may need to scrub the paint off the footplates with a wire brush to reveal the serial number.  You may also need to use a torch to see the serial number.  Beware – a Safety Devices sticker on your cage does not mean it’s a Safety Devices cage.

Q. Can I have my roll cage in a colour other than black?

Yes, but this will almost certainly be a factory order which will usually take 4-6 weeks, sometimes longer at times of high demand.  Other colours available are: grey (RAL 7040), silver (RAL 9006s), white (RAL 9010), red (RAL 3020) and blue (RAL 5002). The roll cage can also be provided unpainted by special request but there is no reduction in price for an unpainted cage.  The standard black we use is RAL 9005 (MN201D Black Matt Smooth).  There is a surcharge for colours other than black.

Q. I want a bespoke roll cage – can you help?

Yes, contact Safety Devices direct and we will give you a quote.

Q. I want Safety Devices to fit my roll cage. Is that possible?

Yes, contact Safety Devices direct and we will give you a quote.

Q. My Safety Devices roll cage has been damaged and I want to get replacement parts. Is that possible?

We will supply parts but you must be completely sure that the damage has not affected the integrity of the cage.  If your cage has suffered anything other than superficial damage we recommend that the whole cage is replaced.

Q. Can I move my roll cage from one vehicle to another?

Yes, providing it is a bolt-in roll cage and both cars are the same model and spec.  Please ensure that all of the parts are kept together, including the under-body brackets, as these often get mislaid when removed.  Some expedition cages which are also used for motorsport will need new 'chassis plates' to replace those welded to the original chassis. We also strongly recommend replacing the nuts, bolts and washers. To simplify this task, we sell complete fitting kits which include all of the above via our Safety Devices eBay shop.
