Olympic Medallist, Crista Cullen, goes off-roading with Safety Devices' Chris Platt Back to results

Linconshire-born, Kenyan-raised until 12 years old, then educated in England, TeamGB Olympic Hockey Bronze Medallist, Crista Cullen now spends a lot of her time in Kenya where the wheels of choice are naturally 4x4.  After the 2012 London Olympics Crista was offered a BMW convertible in a three year sponsorship deal - Crista turned it down.

Crista contacted a range of dealers, but Land Rovers UK, an independent dealer, offered Crista a Defender 110 in a part sponsorship, part ownership deal.  With the help of Land Rover World Magazine, other key Land Rover accessories suppliers such as Safety Devices (who supplied Crista's L011 roll cage) helped Crista fit out her Defender with everything she needs to take it off-road in Kenya.

Safety Devices' Expedition roll cage and roof rack Design Engineer, Chris Platt, recently joined other sponsors at Mudrut for a fun day of off-roading with Crista.
