Rollcentre joins the Safety Devices team Back to results

Roll cage designer and manufacturer, Rollcentre Racing, of St Ives Cambridgeshire has sold its roll cage business to Safety Devices. A wide range of historic racing cages will shortly be available from Safety Devices Suffolk HQ who will continue using the Rollcentre brand name. Safety Devices also acquired Aley Bars in the 1980’s and still manufacture many products for historic vehicles from the Aley Bars range.

Martin Short of Rollcentre said “After nearly 30 years of making Roll Cages, I have decided to call it a day to concentrate on the race car preparation side of my business and the good news is that we have sold out to fellow specialist, Safety Devices. They have agreed to continue manufacturing our products, and still use the Rollcentre (Rollcages) name. This is especially pleasing for me, and I’m sure our regular customers will also find this as good news. I would like to thank everybody that has supported us over the years with business, from Minis to McLaren winning Le Mans 24 Hours.”

Managing Director of Safety Devices Aeron Lloyd said, “We’re really pleased to have acquired the Rollcentre Rollcages business, a company that has been a respected competitor of ours for a number of years. This will allow us to expand further into a market we are already very well established in.”

Safety Devices and its related entities now boast in excess of 2000 roll cage designs, thought to be more than any other manufacturer, including solutions for some of the oldest race cars to the most modern.
