Mazda MX5 crash, Snetterton

Mark Leach had a terrifying crash during the third race of the 2011 Ma5da Championships at Snetterton, UK.  The car (Mazda MX5) had a Safety Devices roll cage Z026 installed.  The car rolled over seven times, during which Mark's arm was broken as it was thrown outside of the rollcage by the force of the accident. The roll cage performed just as it should have and remained in tact. Mark noted that at the next race meeting most cars had either arm restraints or nets fitted and it will be mandatory to have arm restraints fitted for next season.
