  Motorsport Update - September 2015 Back to results

In response to increased demand for both new developments and installation work we are growing the workshop team. Safety Devices have appointed a new workshop manager, Dan Storey, who brings over 14 years experience working for a leading UK motorsport engineering company. Dan will expand our team working alongside our senior workshop engineer John Cooke who has worked for Safety Devices since 1976.

Some of the recent work carried out in the workshop includes:

Opel Manta
The owner of this stunning Opel Manta had an original aluminum Matter roll cage and commissioned Safety Devices to replicate the design to comply with FIA Appendix K regulations. This vehicle can now be seen tackling historic safari rallies in Northern Africa.

BMW E46 Compact
Our customer Paul requested Safety Devices deign and install a rear roll cage for his BMW E46 Compact that he can use on track days.. The design included a cross diagonal and harness bar.

Safety Devices will putting a full MSA specification bolt in roll cage into production for the BMW E46 Compact towards the end of 2015.

Lotus Elite
This Lotus Elite had a roll cage designed and installed in accordance to FIA Appendix K regulations for historic competition.
