Q. Do Safety Devices’ harnesses fit all SD roll cages?
Harness will fit the majority of new motorsport cages, providing they have a “harness bar” installed. Non motorsport and older cages will not normally take a harness. However, if unsure contact Safety Devices for advice.
Q. Do Safety Devices’ harnesses fit other roll cages?
Regardless of the manufacturer, harnesses normally fit a roll cage where a “harness bar” is installed. If in doubt contact your dealer or Safety Devices.
Q. How long will my SD harness last?
For competition use harnesses have a life of 5 years as dictated by the MSA and FIA. However, if involved in an accident they should be replaced at once.
Q. Can I buy my harness from the dealer who sold me my SD cage?
Normally yes, however alternatively you can also purchase through Safety Devices’ accessories shop to buy online. If you have any problems contact Safety Devices.
Q. Can I install my SD harness myself?
Yes provided you faithfully follow our installation instructions.
Q. Do you do any other harnesses beyond the 6 point?
Yes, we offer 3 point and 4 point road legal harnesses in a range of colours.
Q. Do you manufacture your harnesses?
Safety Devices harnesses are manufactured under licence to our specification by TRS.
