Project Rally prepare for Dakar 2012 Back to results

One of Project Mobility's latest challenges was featured on BBC 2's Top Gear on 31st July 2011, in which their Project Rally team competed in their first rally.  Project Rally, a group of disabled and able bodied servicemen, disabled civilians, volunteers, racing gurus, mechanics and rally experts are training to compete in the world's most grueling motorsport event, The Dakar Rally.

A Project Rally training vehicle, the Land Rover Freelander featured in their recent Top Gear appearance, is equipped with a Safety Devices roll cage.  Safety Devices are also delighted to support Project Mobility in their conversion of a Land Rover Defender 110 and wish them every success in their important work.

Project Mobility offers practical help and emotional support through the conversion of 4x4 vehicles so they can be driven by amputees, or those with disabilities affecting driving. It also gives wounded ex-servicemen the chance to enjoy adventure and new challenges through off-road Safari experiences.
